LG V30, V30+ Price Revealed

HIGHLIGHTS

  • The LG V30 and V30+ smartphones were launched at IFA 2017
  • The smartphone will go on sale from September 21
  • LG V30 comes with dual rear cameras
LG recently launched its flagship V30 and V30+ smartphones at IFA 2017 and while the company didn't reveal the pricing of its new handsets right away, it has done it now for its home country South Korea. LG has priced the V30 smartphone at KRW 949,300 (roughly Rs. 53,800) while the V30+ variant with more storage has been priced by the company at KRW 998,800 (roughly Rs. 56,600).
The pre-orders for the LG V30 smartphone will start from Thursday and will continue till September 20 in South Korea. The handset will be made available for purchase from September 21 and customers who have made reservations for the handset will be able to purchase Google Daydream VR headset at a heavily discounted price of KRW 1,000 (roughly Rs. 60), the company said in its release. Notably, the South Korean pricing of the smartphone is more than the recently tipped pricing in the US but less than the expected price in Europe.
Talking about the specifications, the LG V30 runs an UX 6.0+ interface based on Android 7.1.2 Nougat. The smartphone sports a 6-inch QHD+ (1440x2880 pixels) OLED FullVision display with a resolution of 538ppi and HDR10 support. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 SoC coupled with 4GB of LPDDR4x RAM.
In terms of optics, the dual rear camera setup on the LG V30 comes with one 16-megapixel sensor with an impressive f/1.6 aperture, a 71-degree wide-angle lens, and one 13-megapixel sensor with a 120-degree wide-angle lens and an aperture of f/1.9. The cameras are also stacked with Crystal Clear Lens to add to the process of correct colour reproduction and clearer photographs. At front, the LG V30 sports a 5-megapixel wide-angle (90-degrees) camera with an aperture f/2.2.
While the LG V30 comes with 64GB built-in storage, which is expandable via microSD card (up to 2TB), the V30+ smartphone comes with 128GB of inbuilt storage (with the same expansion). The LG V30 comes with connectivity options including Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, and Wi-Fi among others.
